What we inspect

Five coating-inspection services, scoped to your project.

Pre-application, in-process, post-application, failure analysis, and specification consulting — each scoped per project. Order shown is the chronological order a project moves through; choose the stage that matches your need.

Pre-application inspection

Substrate prep verification (surface profile, salt contamination, dewpoint), spec compliance check, materials confirmation.

In-process inspection

Wet film thickness checks during application, environmental conditions logging (temperature, humidity, dewpoint), holiday detection on dielectric coatings.

Post-application inspection

Dry film thickness per specification, adhesion testing (pull-off, X-cut), final visual inspection, deliverable reports.

Failure analysis / root cause

When a coating fails prematurely, an inspector investigates root cause: substrate, application, environment, or product selection.

Specification consulting

Translating a structure's environment and service requirements into a written coating specification the application crew can execute.

How it works

From inquiry to inspection report — five steps.

Designed for procurement leads who haven't bought third-party inspection before. Step 5 is what most engagements close on: a written report suitable for warranty documentation or dispute resolution.

  1. Inquiry

Send us your project scope via the inspection quote form.

  2. Scope call

We review your project, environment, and spec on a short call to confirm fit and scope.

  3. Site visit

Our inspector dispatches to site on the agreed window.

  4. Inspection & documentation

On-site measurements, environmental logging, photo documentation, written field notes.

  5. Report delivery

Written inspection report delivered for warranty documentation or dispute resolution.

Who we've worked with

Named projects. Verified service life.

One named client, one verified service-life figure. Generic descriptors below cover the breadth of completed work where the client cannot be named publicly.

Additional engagements — clients not named publicly:
  • A major gold mining operation in Ghana
  • Petrochemical facilities across West Africa
  • Infrastructure projects across Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria
  • Marine and offshore installations along the West African coast
Industries served

Inspection work across six core industries.

Narrower than ICA's full industry coverage — the six below are where third-party inspection lands at meaningful volume.

FAQ

Questions Specifiers ask before they brief us.

Yes. Our inspection service is independent of product supply. We inspect coating systems regardless of manufacturer or distributor — the inspection report is written to your spec, not to any product line.

Quote per project. We scope inspections based on site, system, square meterage, and travel. Typical engagements range from a single inspection day to multi-week phased oversight. Quote turnaround is typically within 2 business days of scope confirmation.

Inspector dispatched from Accra. Ghana projects are local; South Africa and Nigeria projects are handled via Source-Link dispatch infrastructure. Travel beyond West Africa is quoted per project.

Pre-application and post-application inspections are typically a single day per site or coating zone. In-process inspection scales with application duration. Failure analysis runs from a 1-day site visit to a multi-week investigation depending on scope.

Yes. Every inspection ends with a written report covering measurements, environmental conditions, photo documentation, and a pass/fail summary against the spec. Reports are suitable for warranty documentation and dispute resolution.

Yes. Independent third-party inspection is a recognised mechanism for resolving disputes over application defects, premature failure, and spec non-compliance. Our reports stand on their own and are AMPP CIP–aligned.

Yes for specification consulting (we'll write or review a spec without travel). Inspection itself requires site presence — there's no substitute for physical measurement and observation.
